    China’s first cleantech venture fund established | China Environment Fund (CEF), managed by Tsing Capital, is the most widely recognized sustainable investment fund in China. It is the first serial of funds dedicated to cleantech investment in China.

    Distinguished track record in cleantech investment | Tsing Capital successfully demonstrated its Triple Bottom Line investment philosophy of achieving financial, social and environmental returns via its investment into Dongjiang Environment, an industrial hazardous waste treatment company that was listed in Hong Kong in 2003.
  • 2004

    Launched second fund in CEF series | Following the accomplishments of CEF 2002, Tsing Capital launched CEF 2004, its second fund in the CEF series.
  • 2005

    International and Domestic Recognition | Tsing Capital’s efforts in Chinese cleantech investment were recognized by the Cleantech Group through its “2005 Pioneer Award”. This followed from several major domestic awards such as Top 10 Domestic Venture Capital Firm and Top 10 Domestic Venture Capitalist by Zero2IPO Group.

    Championing Socially Responsible Investment | CEF 2004 exemplified socially responsible investment (SRI) in the Chinese private equity industry. It believes and demonstrates social and environmental (S&E) compliance strengthens core competence and enhances financial valuation in portfolio companies.

    Successful overseas listing | With a front row seat to the boom of cleantech investment, CEF saw the successful US listing of two of its portfolios: LDK and China Sunergy.
  • 2008

    “Doing Well by Doing Good?” and CEF III | Distilled from his experience, in 2007 “Doing Well by Doing Good?” (DWDG) was coined by Mr. Don Ye, Managing Partner of China Environment Fund, and became the motto of Tsing Capital and its latest fund, CEF III. CEF will continue to work with internationally renowned S&E conscious limited partners and collaborate with policy makers, industrial players and sustainability experts to develop a growing stable of highly successful and sustainable companies.

    2009 | Mr. Don Ye, Tsing Capital’s Founding Managing Partner, was named by BusinessWeek as one of the 40 “China’s Most Powerful People in 2009”.
  • 2010

    2010 | Tsing Capital was selected as 1 of the 10 “Companies That Will Shape the World in 2020” in Aron Cramer’s new book Sustainable Excellence. With a distinguished track record, international recognition and operating under a giant market, Tsing Capital has become a frontrunner of global cleantech investment. Tsing Capital was selected as China Immersion Experience Program of Harvard Business School in May 2010.

    2011 | CEF IV and Yiyun (Suzhou) Fund established, while Tsing Capital welcomed its 10th Anniversary. Tsing Capital champions the “Triple Bottom Line” investment practice and its own “Doing Well by Doing Good ?” investment philosophy in China, which has won itself Environmental Investment VC/PE Leading Award?since 2009.
